Hey there! My name is Kate, and welcome to my blog, Passion for Life!
I’m a 22 year old college student born and living in beautiful Southern California. I’m currently attending a community college pursuing my AA in Music before I transfer to a 4 year to pursue my BA in Music Performance on the harp (Pictured above is my harp, Elizabeth, and I. She’s almost 100 years old!!). I’m privileged enough to not only be studying Music, but also to be a part of a local youth symphony as well as the chamber ensemble at my community college. Both groups are helping me to grow so much as a performer.
I created this blog for a multitude of reasons, but the one that fits into all the numerous categories is that I wanted to share what I love doing with the world! So this little piece of the interwebz is all mine (mwhahahahahah!!!) to share my personal diary of sorts through my vlogs, delicious recipes I’ve discovered (or even made myself!), discuss the things I love to do, as well as many other things 
One of the things I love to do is play video games. I’ve been on a computer since I was 2 years old when I started playing Putt Putt Joins the Parade, but I’ve now upgraded my PC games to The Sims 3 and World of Warcraft which I’ve been playing for 10+ and 7 years respectively :P I also love console games on my Xbox 360, which include games like the Batman: Arkham series, Borderlands, Halo, Bioshock, Alan Wake, Call of Duty, & Grand Theft Auto.
I also love making/listening to music, reading books, as well as baking and cooking. I’m also not ashamed to admit that I have a soft spot for trash TV thanks to my late mom. Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Masterchef, Chopped, Cupcake Wars, America’s Next Top Model, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, The Bachelor Pad… totally watch all of them >_> I don’t just enjoy reality TV though! Some of my favorite non-reality shows include NCIS. NCIS: LA, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Royal Pains, Necessary Roughness, Rookie Blue, Drop Dead Diva, The Killing, Modern Family, Family Guy, American Dad!, The Big Bang Theory, Unforgettable, just off the top of my head! (I swear I do things other than watch TV!) XD
My family and friends are really important to me as well. It took my mom passing away in Feb. of ’11 to really make me realize just how important family is to me, and how it should be cherished. I have two best friends that I met at my community college that I absolutely adore, as well as a multitude of friends I made through my gaming that I’ve known for years. Without all of these wonderful people, my life would feel lonely and inadequate. Everyone of my family and friends add something special to my life that I will always cherish.
I am a HUGE animal lover. I have two cats that live with my Dad and I, as well as three guinea pigs. They are all furry and adorable, and they help fill my life with joy and companionship outside of my human companions
